The Standard Missile-3 systems carried on the Aegis cruisers and destroyers of that battle group could knock down anything Iran cares to put into orbit or suborbital trajectories. And if that's not enough to neutralize the Iranian missile threat, I'm sure the Fort Wayne, Indiana rocket club would be happy to travel to the Gulf Emirates, launch a few 12-foot rockets with live bait in their nose cones from Dubai, and put Tehran in its place. The only way in which Iran could really beat our hobbyists with a ten foot-long rocket is the matter of payloads - our humane societies wouldn't permit the rather pointless launching of mice and turtles in the payload section of hobbyist rockets. One more vainglorious triumph for the shaheeds of Iran's rocket industry. (yawn) A ten foot-long rocket puts Iran firmly in competition – with weekend warrior rocket hobbyists from all over America.

The only way in which Iran could really beat our hobbyists with a ten foot-long rocket is the matter of payloads – our humane societies wouldn’t permit the rather pointless launching of mice and turtles in the payload section of hobbyist rockets.

He should be taken seriously. If he says I will wipe Israel off the map then he truly has the will to do it, but hopefully at this point does not have the means. The administration must take him more seriously than her citizens with the recent military presence in that part of the world.
